Setting up a School Club
Structured Lessons
Each school chess club is structured so that the children receive a mixture of
- Instruction from the tutor, based on our school chess curriculum
- Opportunity to play friendly games with their peers
- Opportunity to play a tournament game each week
Competition Opportunities
We will invite schools to enter our regular team competitions, and gifted children will have the opportunity to be considered for selection for the Leicestershire County teams
Leicestershire Chess Coaching will take responsibility for
- Collecting fees from parents
- Registering children and reporting absences
- Ensuring that the children are collected by parents at the end of the chess club
- All tutors hold insurance and DBS status
