About Us

My name is Alan Agnew and I have been teaching chess to children for more than 10 years throughout Leicestershire. I am a qualified classroom teacher and Head Coach of Leicestershire Junior Chess.

Allowing children to experience this great game in a structured way allows them to enhance their critical thinking skills, gain experience of planning strategically and promotes sportsmanship and teamwork.

Studies have shown that regular chess practice can lead to improvements in children’s academic performance
